Whilst several annual events take place in the Yea township, a popular event are the quality markets that are held on both the first and third Saturday of each month from September to May. The markets are easily located on the large grassy strip which divides the Goulburn Valley Highway in the centre of town.

The larger scale events that both residents and visitors look forward to include the Autumn Fest, Fog Fest and, of course, no community like Yea would be complete without an Agricultural Show each year.

The first Yea Adventure "Fly-In" was held in 1998, and looks like becoming an annual event, with aircraft and aviators flying in from many points around Australia. The next Fly-In is scheduled for May 1st and 2nd 1999.

Visitors might also be able to schedule attendance at picnic horse races, open gardens, art shows and or perhaps the Easter Tennis Tournament. It is pertinent to remind visitors to this website, that if time seems a problem, visiting Yea can be made as a simple day trip. Yea is close to Melbourne, and an escape for anyone wishing a pleasant drive and experience away from the city.
